BUDDY FRISBEE
Died July 7, 1999.  He was a member  of the Daybreaker's and was well-known in school.

I have been asked to say a few words in memory of my friend and bandmate, the late Buddy Frisbee.  Let me begin by saying that I can't believe Buddy is gone, and my memory of him will be with me always.  I knew only Buddy, the Adolescent, and not the adult, husband and father he became.
The times we spent together on stage and off, as members of the Daybreakers, were some of the best times in our young lives.  Along with Wanda Roberson, Jim Plato, Ronnie Mobley and Mac McCormick, the other members of the Daybreakers, we spent many hours practicing, performing and recording the music Buddy and I wrote. The weekends on the road, rooming together in hotels, provided many hours of fun - and mischief - much of which was provided by Buddy, himself!!  One of his favorite pranks was to creep into the bathroom, after the lights had been turned out, fill a garbage can full of water and then dump it on whoever happened to be in the bed next to his! Great fun!!
Buddy was a very talented musician and performer.  Nowadays when I listen to our old records, I have to remind myself that we were only 13 and 14 years old when we recorded it and I say to myself, "Not bad for a bunch of kids from Orange Park!
.....Here's to you, Buddy, wherever you are!!  Chook!

Rickey was "Mr. Gorgeous Jock".  I fell in love with him immediately.  I will never forget my first love.  He was gifted at track and football and for breaking girls' hearts.  Rickey went from graduation to working with his father at their sawmill, where he was killed on September 17, 1977 when chains from a pulp wood truck broke loose.  He did marry and has a son who is probably 25 years old.   Rickey was well known in school and my memories of him are only good.
